Gorgeous Bride and her beaubeau...A true Inspiration! |
So Happy together.... |
For many women, their hair is their trademark - distressing but true! We live in a pretentious society…
While I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting either of the lovely brides photographed above, I can tell you from personal experience, that these ladies are a true inspiration.
Most girls romanticize what their wedding day will be like. Questions like, how will I wear my make-up? What will my dress look like? What colors should I choose for my bridesmaids and most importantly how will I wear my hair? Who thinks of wearing a wig on their wedding day? Probably not a lot of brides, however for someone suffering from chemo-therapy side effects, medical hair loss or alopecia, that can certainly be a determining factor.
Thanks to Susan M. Beasang, owner and creator of the beaubeau, that is no longer the case. Faced with alopecia herself, Susan opted not to wear an uncomfortable or hot wig. She found many resources for headscarves but none that suited her individual taste and comfort. Susan designed the beaubeau as a stylish and relaxed alternative to wearing a wig.
I discovered the beaubeau after I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last December. Thanks to Susan and her company, she transformed my attitude about being bald and embracing my inner beauty. Not an easy task; as I mentioned earlier, hair for many women is their trademark – I should know!
